  • Juliette Member Fall Product Program Agreement and Intent to Sell

For a Juliette to participate in the Fall Product Program, they must have an adult 18 or older who serves as their advisor/Troop Product Manager (TPM). The details of what this role requires is detailed in our Fall Product Program Juliette Guide and are explained in this agreement. This agreement is required before the TPM can receive sales materials, and before a girl can begin taking product orders.

A separate form must be completed for each participating youth.

  • Fall Product Program Agreement

The Girl Scout Product Program was originally designed for girls participating as a Girl Scout troop. As Girl Scouts has evolved, so has the way girls participate in Girl Scouts outside of a troop model. With that, how the product program proceeds are administered have also evolved for girls not in a troop. It is important the guardians/advisors read and understand this document with their girl scout(s). Should there be any questions, don’t hesitate to contact your service unit product manager (SUPM). For girls the experience is the same when selling as a Juliette. Girls set goals, take orders, deliver cookies, collect money, learn the 5 Skills and earn recognitions like all other girls. The form you are completing now communicates the expectations Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington (GSOSW) has of all participants in our product programs including behavior consistent with the Girls Scout Promise and Law and is required for a girl’s participation. For an Juliette to sell product, a guardian/advisor acts as the troop product manager (TPM) and is responsible for getting trained, maintaining records, depositing money, communicating with the SUPM as needed and is financially responsible for all monies and product received. Detailed instructions for running a Juliette led Product Program are available in the Fall Product Program Juliette Guide provided by your SUPM during TPM training. Per GSUSA and IRS regulations, the proceeds from the sale are not the property of the individual.

Girls deposit all monies including donations into the GSOSW account. Girls earn Pathway Credits that are separate from Cookie/Nut Program Credits and are based on their sales. Pathway Credits can be used much like Cookie/Nut Program Credits including uses such as: Membership Dues - Store purchases – Council Sponsored events (with the exception of events through a Program Partner) - Travel (Destinations, Travel Patrols, or council sponsored travel. Not an individual trip) - Service Unit events - Girl Scout sponsored Camp (Day & Overnight) - Gold Awards

  • Pathway Cards and recognitions:

Juliette’s can earn individual recognitions, and credits based on units sold. The credits earned from their sales will be put on a Pathway Card using a banding system explained below. Pathway Cards are mailed to each girl at the end of the program unless there is a balance due to GSOSW. All recognitions and Pathway cards are withheld until balances are paid in full. Pathway cards do not expire as long as the Juliette is a registered Girl Scout by no later than January 1 of each year or until they convert to adult membership. A Juliette receives one card that is reloaded per product program throughout their participation.

  • Ethics Pledge

The Girl Scout Cookie Program and the Fall Product Program give girl scouts the opportunity to learn new skills, to promote Girl Scouting and to live the Girl Scout Promise and Law. This opportunity comes with the responsibility to follow safety, media relations and business ethics guidelines. As a volunteer for the GSOSW Product Program you are accepting the responsibility to assist girl scouts in implementing business ethics by setting a positive example through your actions, words and deeds that mirror the standards of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. All Product Program volunteers are required to read and complete this ethics pledge.

Goal Setting - I agree to help girl scouts achieve their goals ethically by:

    ●     Selling Girl Scout Product at the price set and published by GSOSW.

    ●     Honoring commitments to actively participate in Product Program events including goal setting and caregiver meetings.

Money Management - I agree to help girl scouts manage their money ethically by:

    ●     Exclusively selling items approved by GSOSW during the Product Program.

    ●     Ensuring that they count back the correct change to customers.

    ●     Never using funds from the Product Program for personal use.

    ●     Honoring the girl approved uses of Pathway Card funds and credits.

    ●     Making full and on-time deposits of all funds collected as a part of the Product Program.

Decision Making - I agree to help girl scouts make ethical decisions by:

    ●     Following all Product Program safety rules and guidelines found in Volunteer Essentials.

    ●     Ensuring that girl scouts are actively participating in selling, not adults.

    ●     Wearing Girl Scout clothing or a Girl Scout uniform, to easily identify us as a Girl Scout during in-person and door to door sales.

    ●     Responsibly selecting selling locations that girl scouts can safely and legally enter.

    ●     Making full and on-time deposits of all funds collected as a part of the Product Program.

People Skills - I agree to help girl scouts practice ethical people skills by:

    ●     Demonstrating a positive and encouraging attitude.

    ●     Ensuring that girl scouts and volunteers stay focused on helping their customers and to not play games, run, jump, be on the phone, or otherwise be distracted while engaging in selling activity.

    ●     Speaking to everyone with courtesy and respect.

    ●     Encouraging girl scouts to confidently ask customers to buy products.

    ●     Showing gratitude and appreciation to people even if asking does not result in a sale.
