  • The Golden Trefoil patch program was established for Girl Scout troops whose girl and adult members have worked together to maximize their Girl Scout experience.

    Excellence as a group requires a shared goal, achievements along the way, teamwork, and laughter. With common objectives, troops stand to gain the most Girl Scouts has to offer! All program levels are encouraged to strive towards this recognition. Each year a troop completes the requirements, they will be eligible to apply for an annual, color-coded segment to accompany the Golden Trefoil patch. Troops will be awarded Golden Trefoil patches at no cost to the troop if all criteria are met. Submit the form by August 31 of each membership year to receive your free patches.

    We recommend your troop begins the work associated with earning the Golden Trefoil at the start of the Girl Scout membership year in October.  Troops will be awarded Golden Trefoil patches at no cost to the troop if all criteria are met.

    Note: Percentage of attendance is based on the number of girls registered with the troop at the time of the activity.

  • The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) Defined
    By participating in fun activities through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Girl Scouts are encouraged to Discover themselves, Connect with others, and Take Action to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts do this via three processes—Girl-led, Learning-by-Doing, and Cooperative Learning. With the help of supportive adults and troop leaders who help bring these processes to life, girls try new things, share their full selves, and see how good it feels to lead from the heart. These are the guiding principles we use in Girl Scouts to support everything we do. You will see GSLE themes throughout the Golden Trefoil patch program.

  • Steps to receiving your Golden Trefoil patches:

    1. By 6/30: Complete and submit this form in its entirety. 
    2. A GSOSW staff member will process your application, and send the patches in September via mail to the address listed in the form.
